All About H2O: Just Add Water

Three ordinary girls, Emma, Cleo, and Rikki, get stuck in the middle of the sea and have to paddle to a near bye island called Mako. It is mystical, but can be dangerous. Cleo falls into a hole that leads to a cave. Emma and Rikki follow her and discover a moon pool. It is inside a dormant volcano. It is nighttime when they finally conclude that their only way out is to swim through a tunnel that leads to the sea. Once all three girls were in the water, they looked up to see that the opening of the volcano was filled with moon light from the full moon. Cleo, Emma, and Rikki experienced a magical sensation for a few moments until the moon passed. When they were out in open water, a water police boat found them. They returned safely to their homes.

The next morning, Emma went for a swim on her own. About ten seconds after she touched water, her legs became a tail and suddenly she was half fish! Cleo also had a discovery. Taking a bath, she soon had a big floppy fin! Rikki's transformation was probably the most uncomfortable. It is bad enough getting sprayed by a sprinkler, but falling over and growing a tail is just unnerving. They realized it had been the moon's magic that had created the strange phenomenon.

The no longer ordinary girls had many adventures together. Every full moon, something bad almost always happens. Cleo's friend Lewis, a geek that had a passion for science, found out their secret at a pool party. Zane, Rikki's boyfriend discovered the secret when the infamous Dr. Denman captured them and tried to do experiments that would have made their life miserable. Cleo and Lewis became girlfriend and boyfriend. Emma, tired of keeping secrets, finally tells her boyfriend, Ash, why she cannot touch water in public.

Cleo meets a girl named Charlotte who seems nice at first, but who she comes to hate because of her fondness of Lewis. Cleo breaks up with Lewis, and Charlotte makes her move on him. After a while, Charlotte finds out what Cleo, Emma, and Rikki are hiding, and she becomes a mermaid too. Charlotte is one of the villains of H2O. Charlotte goes too far, and Lewis breaks up with her and gets back together with Cleo.

A special planetary alignment makes the moon so powerful it can take away mermaid powers for good. Lewis lures Charlotte to the moon pool, where the girls defeat her once and for all.

When Emma leaves her friends to travel the world with her family, they meet a girl named Bella. Bella became a mermaid when she was nine years old in Ireland. She had the power to turn water into a kind of gel. when a water tentacle kidnaps Rikki, Cleo sees Bella as a mermaid.

Rikki and Zane open up a new restaurant named after Rikki. Bella, Cleo, and Rikki develop a fear of the water tentacle that attacks them every full moon. However, they realize that it is trying to warn them about a comet that is going to come and obliterate the earth.

Bella was not the only new kid. Bella falls in love with Will, who first finds out about Bella, and then the other two. He is a deep sea diver. Rikki and Zane break up after she sees him kissing Will's sister, Sophie. Don (Cleo's dad) meets another woman after he gets divorced. Her name was Samantha and they decide to get married. Lewis gets a scholarship to a college in America, which upsets Cleo. She realizes she needs to let him get on with his life.

The mermaids defeat the comet and save the world. They graduate from High School and prepare to go to college.

Cleo, Rikki, Emma, Bella, Charlotte, Julia, Gracie, Louise, Lila, Nixie, Sirena, and Zach all had to be prepared for the full moon. So should you!
